1946
The year was 1946, Mr. KD. Kohli, a freedom fighter-newspaperman, founded The Printers House. Excellence was born in a humble way as an agency house; dedicated to bridging the gap in printing technology by importing the latest equipment, providing qualified engineers for installation and also training the crew for operations and maintenance.
1960
TPH began manufacturing highly cost-effective Prima Platen Presses and Mercedes stop cylinder automatic letter press machines. The company eventual graduated to manufacturing sheetfed presses.
1970
With over two decades of experience and a manufacturing infrastructure in place for building sheets fed presses, it was then logical to manufacture Web Offset Presses for the expanding newspaper market in India and Southeast Asia. Goss, USA became marketing agent for ‘Orient’ presses in the international markets.
1980
In order to introduce state-of-the-art quality and reliability, a step was taken towards CNC technology and with subsequent integration of the latest CAD/CAM technology; the Orient presses entered the overseas markets & started exporting to USA, Europe, South Asia, etc. Orient super 30,000 cph press with 4-Hi Tower and 3-Colour Satellite configurations soon entered the product portfolio.
1990
Entered the Chinese market and was able to install more than 130 presses including 160 x 4-Hi towers within a span of 8 years. Orient X-Cel 36,000 cph press was introduced and soon because of its high quality and durability, it became very popular in India and China.
2002-04
Started with the development of Orient X-Press with speed of 45,000 cph, which was launched at Drupa 2004 in Dusseldorf.
2006
First Orient X-Press commissioned at Danik Bhaskar. Baroda.
2009
TPH had a marketing tie-up with KBA Germany as per which, KBA/ KBA agents promoted ‘Orient’ presses in most of the countries worldwide and TPH was promoting KBA web presses in the Indian sub-continent.
2010-19
Orient X-Pressmodel was upgraded successfully to run at 50,000 cph & several of these fully equipped 50,000 cph Orient X-Press presses have been installed at major newspapers in India & abroad. TPH entered into a new era of modernization by integrating ‘Orient’ presses with several bought-out high-end automation features like auto reel changers, footprint shaftless drives, auto colour & cutoff registration, remote inking, auto ink pumping etc. For this, TPH tied-up with several world renowned suppliers from USA & Europe for high-end automation and have a very successful association with them.
TPH has supplied several presses with high-end automation features which come upto the top international standards in Gulf, Africa, South East Asia, etc. Many of these orders came through the extensive network of KBA/ their agents in these countries.

In 2022 TPH Orient group entered the solar industry through its subsidiary ADM Orient. ADM Orient is a group company of the TPH Orient group of companies. ADM Orient was founded on the principles of bringing the power of renewable energy to the average population at an affordable price through a strong belief in local manufacturing and expertise. With this goal in mind, ADM Orient boasts one of the largest fully automated panel manufacturing capacities and is one of the leading panel suppliers in the country , supplying both mono and polycrystalline PV modules with 5 or 10 BB cells. ADM Orient also acts as a principle and lead EPC solution provider for ensuring the completion of each Solar Plant from concept to the completion Solar Power Plant and provides smart city products for the general population. These products use solar energy to create a more sustainable and future ready society and are necessities in todays world to ensure a sustainable future for us as a populous.
